About the Company

The vision of Khmer Cold Chain Co., Ltd (KCCC) is to be the leading third-party provider of temperature-controlled logistics, delivering international quality services to Cambodian and regional farmers, agribusinesses, food processers, pharmaceutical companies, food retailers and hotels, restaurants and caterers/institutional (HORECA/HRI), at competitive prices.

KCCC is starting operations in early 2023 and is embarking on an aggressive growth journey.  We are currently seeking an Operations Manager (OM) to join our growing team in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  

The OM will be the top strategic and operating executive for the company. Immediate priorities include:
Business and Organizational Assessment:
The OM will evaluate the existing organizational structure and the management team and identify opportunities for improvement and how to best leverage the talent within the organization.
Driving Revenues:
The OM will identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and craft appropriate operating strategies to drive top-line revenues.
Instilling a Top Corporate Culture:
The OM will be the chief driver to establish and elevate the drive and passion of the employee base.
Delivering Results:
The OM will lead and manage the company to continually achieve its short term and long-term goals and, ultimately, a successful liquidity event.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The OM will have direct responsibility for managing the heads of all functions including Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance & Accounting, Safety, Maintenance, and other appropriate functions. Specific duties will include:

  • Drive the growth of the business
  • Implement profit and cash flow improvement initiatives
  • Develop new service lines and sales channels & market segmentation
  • Manage and improve operating efficiencies
  • Increase enterprise value in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Manage the P&L to achieve annual operating goals
  • Manage customer relationships and build strong public image for the company
  • Develop new products and services to serve the needs of the market
  • Communicate the company’s goals, strategies, and programs to all employees
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with industry contacts and regulatory agencies

     

    Qualifications

  • An MBA or more advanced degree is preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of profitably managing and growing a company in a similar industry and have a minimum of 10 years of senior operating experience, including 3 years as COO or General Manager.

  • The successful candidate will have risen through the operations of a warehousing company and be able to demonstrate a pattern of success in increasing sales and market share.

  • The successful candidate will be a proven executive and leader dealing effectively with the nuances of a small entrepreneurial company yet still have the “big picture” focus to lead the company’s growth.  Experience managing within a high growth, private equity-backed, leveraged environment is highly desired.  Experience leading senior management teams through acquisitions, team building, training, recruiting, and retaining top talent will be essential.

    Personal Attributes

    The OM must be highly ethical, professional and must demonstrate a passion for the company’s service offerings, value proposition and market.  This individual must be both strategic and operations-oriented, a team builder and results-oriented.
